The jacket does seem a little tailored, but such is the difference between english and american (traditional) jackets. I'd still say it's a heck of a lot more preppy than the tight jeans and commando boots in the post below.
I appreciate traditional American style. I wear J. Press suits with bow ties and braces. I get it.
But I think preppy style may include traditional as well as modern elements. I prefer fitted shirts. And some of my suit/sport coats are fitted, too. Not every jacket needs to be of the sack design.
I'm an Anglophile and I happen to like British suits. Preppy or not, isn't this a great look? So many shades of grey complimented by the blue shirt and pocket square. Such a nice pair of knits, the V-neck and scarf. And, of course, the perfect pale skin and shocking red hair.
